B. Arogya Reddy

President & Chairman, Saint Mary’s Educational Society

B. Arogya Reddy is a passionate educationist with over 40 years of educational experience, including building and nurturing educational institutions. A discerning individual who knew the intrinsic difference between mere teaching and quality education, founded Saint Mary’s Educational Society in 1982.

He is the recipient of several awards for excellence as an educationist such as The Best Teacher Award, Best Principal – Junior College Award and the Award for Outstanding Services, among others. A post-graduate in English from Osmania University, he has played several roles in the field of education – as a schoolteacher, as a lecturer and as a principal, before venturing to be an entrepreneur in the field by laying the foundation of Saint Mary’s Educational Society and the institutions under its auspices.

B. Mahender Reddy

Chief Executive Officer, Saint Mary’s Educational Society

Mahender Reddy spearheads the Saint Mary’s Educational Society as its CEO, providing leadership and a progressive vision. A graduate in Mechanical Engineering and a post-graduate in Business Administration from The University of Hull, UK, Mahender Reddy has followed the footsteps of his father, B. Arogya Reddy, to make education his life’s calling.

He has worked relentlessly to help St. Mary’s College make its mark in the educational sector of the state of Telangana. Under his leadership, St. Mary’s College has become one of the most sought after elite colleges in Hyderabad and has produced outstanding alumni in the fields of education, sports, cinema, business and politics. True to his belief in prioritising academic excellence, he spends quality time nurturing students so that they are well-rounded and prepared to take on life and their respective careers after completing their education in all institutions under the auspices of Saint Mary’s Educational Society.

Mahender Reddy strongly believes that education only achieves its goal if, by the end of their academic journey, students are able to identify their life’s true calling and pursue it successfully. Mahender Reddy is a part of several think tank initiatives in the field of education. He was a member of the Advisory Committee on Skill Development under the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India.

Secretary, Saint Mary’s Educational Society & Correspondent, St Mary's College

A Telugu Pundit, Mary Reddy started her career as a schoolteacher in Telugu and went on to become a lecturer in Telugu. A devout Catholic with a profound sense of selfless service, she has been a mentor to the young staff of the institutions under Saint Mary’s Educational Society. Always ready with a kind word and a willing shoulder to lean on,  she is highly regarded by both the staff and students for her wise counsel. As the Secretary of the Society, she handles administrative and human resources functions. She is the Correspondent of the College.

B. Chaitanya Reddy

Vice President, Saint Mary’s Educational Society

Chaitanya Reddy is a graduate in Microbiology and a postgraduate in Business Administration. Ever since she joined Saint Mary’s Educational Society, she has been at the forefront of planning, implementation of publicity, corporate communications, and administration for all its institutions. With her keen eye for detail, she took on the responsibility of managing the general administration of the Society and all the campuses of its institutions. Chaitanya Reddy also spearheads all the initiatives at St. Mary’s Foundation. The mission of the foundation is to make education accessible to talented students from a poor financial background by providing scholarships to selected candidates. Keeping this mission in mind, Chaitanya Reddy ensures that children supported by the foundation are assisted in learning well. She is actively involved in this process, right from the selection of students. She regularly meets faculty members to gauge the performance of the students and provides counselling sessions for children who need it. She also ensures that all NGOs who identify and nominate children for scholarships are held accountable through regular meetings.

Adapa Gopalakrishna

Chief Projects Officer, Saint Mary’s Educational Society

Adapa Gopalakrishna joined the infrastructural arm of Saint Mary’s Educational Society as Chief Operating Officer and went on to head it as CEO before moving on to his role as CFO. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and an MBA in Marketing. His career, spanning over 27 years, includes seven years in the Indian Air Force, during which he acquired varied experience in overseeing operations, finance, and administration. Having handled medium and large-scale industrial and commercial projects, he has vast experience in a cross-section of infrastructure and construction work including industrial, commercial, institutional, group housing and residential construction projects and telecom infrastructure projects. He has a keen understanding of finance, banking and business management and spearheads strategic planning and growth initiatives of Saint Mary’s Educational Society.

Adapa Gopalakrishna

J. Mathew George

Director ( Higher Education ), Saint Mary’s Educational Society

Mathew George is an economist by training and an alumnus of the University of Hyderabad and Madras Christian College. He began his career in the field of public policy and then moved to management education and training. He was the Principal of St. Mary’s College during 2016 – 2022. Prior to joining St. Mary’s College as Principal, he was an Associate Professor at the ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad, and headed the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development of the IFHE (Deemed) University, Hyderabad. He is an alumnus of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) of the US Department of State and has visited some of the top Universities in the US, including MIT, Harvard University, Langston University, University of California at San Diego, and New York State University. His areas of academic interest are spread over Education, Economics and Entrepreneurship. He is passionate about training and mentoring student leaders, teacher administrators and start-up founders.

Abhinay Sharma

Chief Administration Officer, Saint Mary’s Educational Society

Abhinay Sharma is a versatile management professional with nearly three decades of diverse experience in General Administration, Finance, International Business, Portfolio Management, and Business Development. A self-driven and goal-oriented administrator, he has worked in sectors as varied as Education, Publishing, Healthcare Services, Insurance, Manufacturing, Exim, and Construction, and across India, the Middle East, and Africa. He has a proven track record in negotiation, business planning, operations, sales, and business relationship management. As the Chief Administrative Officer of Saint Mary’s Educational Society, Abhinay has leadership and management responsibilities for business administration, non-academic operations, and support services of the Society’s group of institutions and companies, with a critical role in overseeing, maintaining, and developing the infrastructure, systems, and processes.
