Four decades ago, a teacher couple determined to make a difference in education, stepped out of their comfort zone to launch the first institution under the Group. In 1981, B. Arogya Reddy & Y Mary Reddy, together with a few committed educators and individuals with a shared vision, established the Saint Mary’s Educational Society. In 1982, the Society set up its first institution, the St. Mary’s Junior College (currently located at Basheer Bagh, Hyderabad) with B. Arogya Reddy as its founding Principal. Very soon, it became one of the most sought-after junior colleges for boys and girls in the Twin Cities.

To cater to the burgeoning demand, a second campus of St. Mary’s Junior College was established in 1995 at Yousufguda, Hyderabad.

In 2002, a transformative milestone was achieved when St. Mary’s College in Yousufguda, Hyderabad, underwent a significant upgrade, becoming an undergraduate college and transitioning into a premium co-educational institution. Its commitment to excellence and holistic education has been the driving force behind its rapid progress, making it the first choice for countless undergraduate students in the region. Beyond academic success, St. Mary’s College has become synonymous with outstanding curricular and extra-curricular achievements, providing its students with a well-rounded educational experience. As a result, the college has an impressive alumni Hall of Fame, comprising influential personalities from diverse fields such as business, politics, film, and sports.

In 2010, the St. Mary’s Educational Society extended its vision to the field of school education and founded the Sancta Maria International School in Serilingampally, Hyderabad. The school’s core philosophy is centred on unlocking the unique potential of each learner by providing them with quality education within a safe, inclusive, caring, and happy environment. Following the world-class Cambridge curriculum and employing contemporary teaching and learning approaches, the school has fostered partnerships with reputed organisations to enhance its educational offerings.The School has over 1500 students and nearly 170 formally trained teachers. A Cambridge Pathway School, Sancta Maria International School offers a broad and balanced school curriculum which includes co-curricular and enrichment activities. In addition to 30+ Indian Universities and colleges, the marians have gone on to pursue their higher education in over 40 international universities across Europe, North America, and Oceania.

Continuing its commitment to educational growth, in 2018, St. Mary’s Junior College established its newest branch in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Affiliated with the Board of Intermediate Education of Telangana, the Junior College offers a wide array of courses, including Physical and Life Sciences, Mathematics, Commerce, Civics, and Languages, further contributing to the Group’s mission of providing holistic education throughout all levels of education. Both Basheer Bagh and Jubilee Hills campuses continue to succeed in developing confident and responsible learners, ready to face the world and make a difference.

The latest addition to the Group is Sancta Maria International School in Faridabad, which offers Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) as well as the Diploma Program of the International Baccalaureate (IB). It is the first IB School in Faridabad. This K-12 day-and-boarding school offers top-notch international education, boasting state-of-the-art infrastructure.

A residential international school under the Sancta Maria brand is now coming up in what is likely to be India’s largest aerotropolis, the Aerocity near Hyderabad International Airport. The Group’s latest project, Schola Maria, is a one-of-its-kind project, meant for learners aspiring to be professional athletes and sportspersons, offering world-class sports training, professional fitness regime, and international curricula that offers future mobility, all within a completely residential global campus.
